Senior Inventory Analyst
The Senior Inventory Analyst (SIA) is responsible for supporting the management of the company’s inventory at a store/sku level, striving to achieve optimal stock level, allocation accuracy, and productivity for their assigned area. SIAs guide and coach the Bangalore Inventory Analysts on allocation, replenishment, size, and grading. They are process and system experts, helping guide the Bangalore Team to execute strategies tailored to the individual business needs. SIAs are the primary BU and Supplier contact for Allocation, Replenishments, Size, and Grading.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coaches, develops, and guides global team of Inventory Analysts on size profile, assortment grading, allocation, and replenishment strategies to align with individual business needs. Special focus on Seasonal Strategies, Final Flows, Holdback, and Company Initiatives.
• Drive inventory productivity through store analysis and action; focusing on individual store performance, seasonality, and demographics to identify opportunities, risks, and strategies that they can action along with Global Inventory Analyst Team
• Review and communicate vendor projections, fill rate, and in-stock expectations
• Work with IM/ISM to develop a policy management plan (Min’s/SS/Max) to hit inventory targets and drive low/no touch policy managments
• Own the Replenishment buy and validation process, partnering with Forecast Analysts and BU
• Own Inform Parameters (ordering calendar, vendor mins, lead time, order groups)
• Own the review and release of manual Inform orders, post policy adjustment or new item set up
• Communicate activations, deactivations, inventory constraints, to Bangalore Inventory Analyst
• Own Size Profile for key businesses, while giving guidance to the Bangalore team for the remainder
• Own exception allocation areas (Team/Seasonal/Nike/Uniforms/Jewelry), and support Bangalore Allocation during peak periods or at once needs
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• College degree or equivalent business experience
• 4+ years of progressively responsible assignments in relevant roles
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and SQL experience is preferred but not required.
• Sound understanding of key performance indicators and elements that drive retail profitability and inventory productivity
• Ability to provide strategic planning direction and identify opportunities and risks
• Ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships and collaboration with cross functional partners and global team
• Results oriented, self-motivated, and a strong sense of urgency
